Nayana Williams is an award-winning CEO, philanthropist, and passionate leader. In 2005, she co-founded Lifespan Company Limited, one of Jamaica’s leading bottled water manufacturing companies. The celebrated story and success of today was not without challenges and lessons, along the way. Nayana built Lifespan from the ground up, catapulting it into becoming a market leader in a male-dominated industry. Lifespan has gone on to become an iconic brand, the recipient of multiple international awards and several local awards and nominations.
Nayana lives with her husband, two children and five dogs. Her many roles include being a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and mentor to emerging entrepreneurs. She holds multiple degrees in business, and a law degree. Nayana enjoys reading, writing, swimming and cooking among other pastimes when she is not busy building business and giving back to the community. An avid adventurer, an amateur artist, and an analyst, she considers each day as an opportunity to be a ceaseless student of philosophy, a lover of life, and a source of hope and kindness.
We often face many trials along this journey of life and most times we don’t know where to look for the answers. Writing and publishing this book is another turning point for me as I move into the next chapter on my journey. It is my intention to leave with the younger generation a tool to give them some insight into finding their life purpose and living it.
My reason for telling my story is to confront my truth and how I was able to live through my experiences and become the woman I am today—while emphasizing to the reader that who we are, how we are, and who we become, is the product of how we respond to adversity and overcome hardships. I am hoping that the reader will take away the lesson of facing their own truths in order to heal and move on to become all they were meant to be —the truest version of yourself.
